Restaurants Shift Manager

Restaurants Shift Manager Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring daily operational plans are fulfilled, ensuring that relevant tasks and objectives are carried out by the team and that the team are in the right place at the right time to manage fluctuating guest demand while keeping operational standards and guest experience high. You will support and coach the team to deliver a great experience and also drive key targets such as add‑on sales or promotions. This is an operational guest‑facing role, so all non‑guest‑facing tasks and activities will be allocated as time within your working week to allow you to spend the majority of your time within your venue and with guests. The role operates on a flexible 5‑day schedule across a 7‑day week, so adaptability is key. During our iconic adult‑only Big Weekenders, shift finish times can extend as late as 4 am or 5 am – a willingness to work late nights is essential. As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and you need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a busy restaurant, bar or retail environment balancing speed and quality. Train and coach the team in a fun‑filled environment to deliver an excellence experience. Direct and respond to any situation while delivering consistent brand standards. Motivate and engage the team, even at periods of high demand, and manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements. Deliver amazing results for guests and the team every day. Qualifications Previous experience in leading within a busy restaurant, bar or retail environment. Strong leadership, motivating and engaging skills. Confidence to direct and respond in any situation while maintaining consistent brand standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements. Willingness to work flexible hours, including late nights during Big Weekenders.
