Compliance Program Assessment Manager

About the role: The Compliance Program Assessment Manager will report to the RELX Head of Compliance Operations and Programs and will be responsible for interpreting and facilitating compliance with laws and government regulations that impact the organization's operations. The manager will provide guidance to RELX stakeholders when responding to internal and regulatory requests and leverage data analytics to support the compliance team, enhancing the precision and utility of metrics and reporting. The role requires both conceptual and practical understanding of key compliance areas such as trade sanctions, anti-bribery, and enterprise risk management. Candidates should be able to address complex issues, operate independently with limited supervision, and manage multiple projects while remaining accountable for ongoing operational objectives. Responsibilities Testing and Monitoring: Design and execute processes to test and monitor compliance with key compliance policies. Risk Assessments: Perform programmatic risk assessments related to key risk areas as determined by regulatory requirements, compliance investigations, audits, or other drivers and support remedial measures. Policy Development: Review and prepare policy documentation designed to enhance stakeholder understanding of key compliance responsibilities. Operational Advice and Guidance: Advise on corporate compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Conducting Compliance Investigations: Investigate compliance incidents in the U.S., U.K., and/or Europe to ensure adherence to laws and RELX's Code of Ethics. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Have operational experience in compliance, including conducting risk assessments, compliance testing and monitoring, policy development, and internal investigations. Possess knowledge of trade sanctions, antibribery laws, regulations, and industry standards. Be able to analyze problems and make decisions to address compliance risks. Demonstrate leadership and communication skills for collaboration across the organization. Be capable of developing and implementing compliance programs and initiatives. Professional certifications in compliance (such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional CCEP) are considered beneficial.
