Quality Monitoring Officer Band 3 Employer Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust; Employer type: NHS; Site: MSE Town Basildon; Salary: £24,937 per annum (pro rata for part‑time); Salary period: Yearly; Closing: 22/12/2025 23:59. Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), working with 149 GP practices, 200 sites, 27 Primary Care Networks, one Ambulance Trust, three main community and mental health service providers, and several local partners. Job overview We are looking for an Environmental Quality Monitoring Officer to join our Estates and Facilities Management team. You will monitor cleaning standards across our hospital sites (Basildon, Broomfield, Southend), ensure services meet agreed specifications and key performance indicators, support audits, identify improvements and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. Main duties of the job Monitor and record cleaning standards across hospital sites. Identify and report issues, recommending improvements. Produce audit reports and attend review meetings. Support the audit programme and quality assurance activities. Liaise with service providers, managers and clinical staff. Assist with investigations into complaints and service errors. Use IT systems to record and analyse data. Travel between sites as required. Person specification Qualifications Good standard of general education (minimum 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or better). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification through experience. Experience Demonstrable experience of working within a customer‑focused environment. Experience in auditing and monitoring.
