OverviewWe are looking for a Multi Skilled Plumber on a 12 month FTC to carry out and complete multi-skilled bathroom / kitchen modifications, responsive plumbing repairs, empty homes works, planned renewals and other associated works to achieve the team plan in occupied or empty properties owned or managed by CHP in all Districts, performing to or exceeding required standards.What youll be doingCarry out bathroom / kitchen modifications, responsive plumbing repairs, planned renewals and other associated work in properties owned or managed by CHP in all Districts to a high standard of workmanship which meets current legislation and ensures that key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction, empty homes / planned works priorities and turnaround times are achieved; works orders are closed down within agreed timescales and works completed within agreed budgets.After appropriate training undertake to a good standard basic carpentry, plastering, tiling and decorating works as required to complete repairs and renewals and ensure that works are delivered in a high standard, professional, customer focused and efficient way.Responsible for collaborating with the Planning and Logistics team to efficiently book or procure materials, plant, stock, tools and equipment required, ensuring timely delivery or collection as appropriate, as well as safe custodianship of all items.Participate as a multi skilled operative in the effective delivery of the 24-hour out of hours service, working outside core hours on a rotational basis.Assist other multi-skilled operatives, supervisors and managers, working as part of a larger team as required to contribute to the delivery of repairs, empty homes and larger project works.What we are looking forCity and Guilds Plumbing Level 2 or NVQ 2 Plumbing or equivalent demonstrable prior learning.Full current manual driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.Experience within a building maintenance environment or relevant apprenticeship served.Ability to analyse building maintenance problems and deliver solutions relevant to primary trade or at least one additional secondary trade area.Track record of ensuring that work gets done correctly on time first time.Good knowledge of health and safety, safe working practices, manual handling and compliancy in the workplace.BenefitsThe salary for this post will be 39,795 pro rata per annum.Learning and development opportunitiesHealthcare cash planRobust employee reward and recognition programmeFree and confidential Employee Assistance ProgrammeCHParticipate volunteering programmeCompetitive pension scheme25 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays, 3 extra days between Christmas and New Year and 1 wellbeing day per annum.37 hours per week - employees may be able to work flexibly by agreement with their line manager; we operate a hybrid working policy at CHP.Please note : We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications or successfully appoint a candidate before the closing date.
