Acts as subject matter expert for technical solutions.ResponsibilitiesLeads team and other Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problemsCollaborates with PIC/APM in defining project work plans and developing and managing the production schedule, including effectively defining and meeting deadlinesApplies creative thinking to achieve innovative solutionsLeads the creation and modification of complex detailed implementation documents to incorporate the design intent, using diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices and advanced techniquesLeads development of code analysis and confirms code and zoning requirements for assigned segment of project are metSupervises the preparation of documents by architectural team, including verifying implementation documents conform to QA/QC and HKS standards, best practice and quality expectationsManages the technical resolution and coordination for the projectWrites reports or specifications for assigned projectPrepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawingsMaintains open communication with client and provides guidance through projectsCoordinates with PM, clients, public agencies, consultants and contractors to incorporate engineering systems, respond to requests for information, clarifications and modifications, and obtain approvals, negotiations and adjusting scope of servicesCommunicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentationExercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issuesOversees consultant team work sessionsOversees product research; assists project designers with material and system evaluation to make proper selectionsMaintains awareness of risk management for potential project issues and involves PIC if neededParticipates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplinesAttends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and documents as neededResponsible for preparing and/or reviewing meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetingsManages conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environmentFosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team, including promoting communication and creating approachabilityResponsible for delivering a project on defined budget requirements and maintaining accountability to project plan and planned utilisation rateSupports and may lead the business development process by identifying new opportunities, marketing current clients for repeat business and assisting with proposals, budgets and schedulesTravel will be requiredQualificationsAccredited Master’s degree in Architecture (RIBA Part III or transferable equivalent)ARB registration requiredRIBA chartership requiredTypically, 15+ years of experienceSustainable design accreditation preferredProficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software preferredExperience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite preferredAdvanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of architectural building systems, accessibility guidelines and QA/QC processAdvanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into implementation documentsStrong presentation skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeAbility to manage team with diplomatic leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and externalAbility to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationshipsAbility to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writingAbility to problem solve and apply innovative solutionsAbility to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environmentAbility to effectively meet deadlines at expected qualitySeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustriesArchitecture and Planning #J-18808-Ljbffr
