Working closely with the Managing Partner, you will shape the department’s success by guiding strategy, driving performance and supporting a talented team. You will oversee a diverse caseload, including wills, probate, estate administration and Court of Protection matters. As a hands‑on leader, you will inspire, mentor and develop your team, fostering technical excellence and professional growth. Your commitment to the highest standards of client care, compliance and service delivery will ensure the department thrives and upholds the firm’s outstanding reputation. The Candidate Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years PQE in private client law and proven leadership experience within a legal team. Substantial experience in supervision, mentoring and team development, coupled with comprehensive expertise across wills, probate, estates, trusts and Court of Protection matters. Strong strategic thinking, ability to deliver high‑quality, precise work under pressure while maintaining clarity, composure and effective communication. Thorough up‑to‑date understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including AML and GDPR, is essential.
