About the Role We are seeking an experienced Remediation Team Leader to join our operations team in Exeter. The role involves leading a site team working on building works, groundworks and remediation related to oil spill incidents at domestic properties, ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely and to high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise remediation operatives on site, maintaining health and safety. Carry out works under the direction of the SEED Contracts Manager and/or Operations Manager. Run projects according to agreed schedules and budgets. Use own initiative, skills and knowledge where appropriate. Drive machinery and undertake hand-dig excavation for contamination removal. Coordinate ordering of materials and skips to maintain work schedules. Document works with photographs throughout all stages. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and RAMS documentation. Carry out structural propping works safely, following engineer drawings. Provide OFTEC support for spill response where required. Respond to emergency spill works outside normal hours when needed. Keep sites tidy, clean and safe throughout the project. Attend training sessions, toolbox talks and team meetings as required. Essential Requirements Experience in a similar role running on-site construction projects with health and safety focus. Full UK driving licence. Good general building knowledge and willingness to learn new skills. Strong organisation and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of project budgets and timelines. Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Positive attitude, motivated approach and initiative. Basic DBS check. Right to work in the UK. Willingness to travel away from home when necessary. Desirable OFTEC qualifications or experience. Previous experience in oil spill remediation or environmental restoration. Experience supervising and developing team members. Knowledge of structural propping works. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary of £33,000 – £38,000 per annum and a comprehensive benefits package including: Holiday entitlement increasing with service (up to 25 days plus bank holidays).
