We are seeking an inspirational leader who can drive excellence, motivate staff and students, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a thriving DT department.

Job Overview
The school is looking for an innovative, creative, and highly skilled professional who can inspire students and contribute fully to a dynamic team within a growing department. As a committed and enthusiastic practitioner, you will bring strong technological expertise and a passion for Design & Technology that encourages pupils of all abilities to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the strategic development of the Design & Technology curriculum across all key stages.

* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge, support, and inspire students.

* Maintain high expectations for teaching and learning, consistently delivering good to outstanding lessons.

* Support and mentor staff within the department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

* Contribute to extracurricular opportunities such as clubs, competitions, and projects to enhance learning beyond the classroom.

About You:

* A well-qualified practitioner with a relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification. (QTS)

* An enthusiastic, dynamic leader with the vision and energy to further develop a successful DT department.

* A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development and excellence in teaching.

* A compelling communicator, capable of championing the subject and engaging learners across a full range of abilities.

* Creative, forward-thinking, and passionate about enriching students’ educational experiences.
