Head of Financial Services - Business Development This role at N Brown Group reports to the Director of FS Product and Decisioning. The Head of FS Business Development leads new business areas, works with Senior Leadership Team, and shapes strategy for a new Financial Services platform. Responsibilities Deliver growth strategies for the new brand in partnership with Senior Leadership Team. Own branding and partner engagement to drive visibility and customer accessibility. Own communication strategy with internal resources and fulfilment partners to optimise contact opportunities. Leverage market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer insights to optimise growth opportunities. Work closely with Digital Operations and Financial Services teams to align product delivery to strategy. Identify opportunities for new features and propositions to meet existing and future customer needs. Collaborate with Finance Team to evaluate and scale opportunities for prioritisation. Manage a solution‑oriented Senior New Opportunities Analyst to translate business objectives into practical, viable approaches. Partner with Risk and Compliance Team to understand and manage regulatory requirements. Report to the monthly Financial Services Operating Committee on business growth delivery. Engage with N Brown Retail colleagues to identify opportunities and collaborate on solutions. Build external relationships with potential collaborators and solution providers. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in both digital retail and financial services organisations. Expert understanding of financial services delivery mechanisms and key products. Proven track record delivering implemented solutions that meet business requirements. Commercial awareness and confidence in discussing opportunities with external organisations. Financial capability, including the ability to appraise and critique business cases. Tenacity in seeing initiatives through and evolving plans to solve impediments. Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills. Working knowledge of FCA and FLA regulations covering lending products. Experience in specialist financial services product teams such as Credit Risk, Fraud, and Payments. Experience in BNPL or “pay in 3” type products. Experience in sales or marketing roles. Previously held a senior management position with a track record of developing people.
