Job: IPC & Electronics Trainer Location: Aberdeen The Electronics Group is the largest independent IPC and Electronics training partner in the UK. We train professionals from all walks of the electronics industry, from Operators and Quality Inspectors to In‑House Trainers, and Rework Specialists to Design Engineers. Having recently announced the exciting expansion of our third training centre, the first in Scotland, we’re looking for an IPC & Electronics Trainer to join the team. We work with businesses of all sizes from small micro‑SME’s to globally recognised conglomerates, representing all areas of the electronics industry including Military & Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, OEM, CEM, Oil & Gas, Medical… and everything in between The Electronics Group are the only authorised IPC Training Centre to operate three training centres in the UK. Our original training centre, and Head Office, is in West Park, Leeds; we opened our second centre in Cirencester in 2024. All training centres offer practical and non‑practical accredited and non‑accredited training courses. To complement our training solutions, we also offer technical inspection services, recruitment, and consultancy services. Our IPC and Electronics Trainers are responsible for delivering IPC accredited training as well as our own bespoke skills‑based electronics courses. Courses can be delivered at either training centre, remotely via Teams, or at customers' facilities. Travel to customers' sites throughout the UK will be required with overnight stays. We pride ourselves on offering the best services to industry professionals, as well as those looking to enter the world of electronics. We will provide necessary training and development to the successful candidate. IPC & Electronics Trainer Requirements Strong hands‑on knowledge of PCBs and PCBAs – Essential Hands‑on experience of soldering PTH and SMT components – Essential Knowledge of IPC Knowledge of electronics assembly and manufacturing processes Experience with cable and wire harness assemblies – Desirable Excellent written and spoken English – Essential Experience of delivering high quality training – Desirable Confident in speaking in front of groups of people Good IT skills IPC & Electronics Trainer Responsibilities Train and provide support to delegates and clients Set up and administer training classes Train and educate in IPC, ESD, soldering, wiring skills Promote a safe working environment Maintain all training records Manage and collaborate on course feedback Maintain the high quality of training and service expected from The Electronics Group customers Assist with customer workshop jobs including rework and X‑ray What Do We Offer £35,000 – £55,000 per annum salary depending on experience On‑target salary increases Annual company performance bonus Training and progression opportunities Private health insurance Company pension scheme Relocation package (Unfortunately this doesn’t include sponsorship) Any interested candidates should apply through the respective job adverts.
