Property Inspector (Maintenance) – Local Council Property Inspector required to support a leading local council in Dundee on a rolling freelance contract. Responsibilities Oversee multiple upgrade and repair projects for social housing estates. Conduct internal and external inspections of a variety of housing and public buildings. Assess the condition of properties and provide recommendations to management on priority work, current stock condition and longevity of existing infrastructure. Influence future budget spend by presenting findings. Manage both reactive and proactive maintenance projects, coordinating with end‑users and ensuring council solutions are delivered. Interact and empathise with customers and end‑users on a daily basis, providing advice, guidance and solutions. Act as the face of the council in social housing projects. Qualifications Background in property inspection, maintenance or stock condition surveying. Experience in a similar role, preferably within social housing or a local authority. Strong customer service skills and a compassionate, kind nature. Ability to interact with distressed or frustrated end‑users. Contract and Remuneration Ad‑hoc freelance contract.
