Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the North Liverpool area, working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering accessible and engaging science education to students with diverse learning needs. Based in a supportive secondary school setting, your focus will be on creating inclusive learning experiences across Biology, Chemistry and Physics for pupils aged 11–16. You will deliver engaging and accessible science lessons across KS3 and KS4, tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing learning environment and promote curiosity and confidence in science. You will work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants and pastoral teams to tailor lessons that accommodate a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your approach will be patient, adaptive and creative, ensuring every student feels valued and capable of achieving their potential in science. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.Support students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH.Collaborate with SENCOs and support staff to ensure inclusive learning.Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Previous experience working with secondary SEN pupils is highly desirable.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Empathetic, patient and committed to inclusive education.
