Your focus will be on ensuring our BI solutions empower analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business teams to work faster, smarter, and with greater impact.From the outset you will develop and optimise our Looker platform, then contribute to shaping our wider BI strategy, exploring emerging technologies such as conversational analytics, AI-powered insights, and tools that enhance data discovery and governance.As an Analytics Platform Engineer you will also have opportunities to contribute across the wider data platform, designing and maintaining infrastructure, working on low‑latency data pipelines, building automated solutions, and driving technical design discussions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, and optimise BI platforms, with an immediate focus on LookerOwn system administration, configuration, and performance monitoring to ensure resilience and scalabilitySupport users with technical troubleshooting, enablement, and best practices for self-service analyticsContribute to the evolution of our BI strategy, adopting innovative AI‑driven tools to improve decision‑making and data accessibilityPartner with analysts, analytics engineers, and data scientists to understand their needs and deliver impactful platform solutionsContribute to the wider engineering function through technical design reviews, peer code reviews, and knowledge sharing, collaborating globally with teams across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt to define shared data standards and evolve our platform architectureSkillsetExtensive experience with BI platforms (Looker desirable, but not essential if transferable)Technical skills in areas such as SQL, Python, data modelling, and platform administrationA user‑first mindset: motivated by enabling others to be more effective with dataCuriosity and adaptability, with a passion for exploring new technologies including AI‑powered analyticsA collaborative approach and the ability to work across diverse teams with varying data needsExpertise in modern, agile software development processesWorkplace & BenefitsAt Deliveroo we prioritize people’s welfare and offer many benefits including healthcare, well‑being, parental leave, pensions, generous annual leave, and support for a charitable cause of your choice.
