This well established and highly ambitious bespoke special purpose machinery manufacturer is recruiting for a Design Engineer to join their existing team at their Nottingham based head office.

In taking full ownership of this exciting and key role in the business, you will attract a competitive basic salary of £40 - £45k depending on the level of experience and industry knowledge you can bring to the business.

The Design Engineer must have experience of 3D CAD (Ideally Inventor) and detailed knowledge of conveyor systems, ideally within the food and beverage industry.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a real opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to take ownership of a role within a growing organisation. Working with the full support of the business owners and wider engineering team, you will be given the flexibility to generate ideas and provide solutions with the potential to have some involved once the projects reach site stage.

Job Description

As a Design Engineer you will be responsible for the conception and design of conveyor systems across various industries. The role also offers the opportunity to be involved with site work and client liaison.

You will have a proven track record in designing special purpose machinery and material handling equipment, ideally in stainless steel with a proven knowledge of the hygienic food and beverage industry.

You will have experience in Autocad 2D and be able to transfer basic factory layouts into 3D designs (Preferably utilising Inventor).

Working with new and existing clients in the food manufacturing sector, you will work alongside the sales and project teams to promote and design the company’s fully bespoke stainless-steel handling machinery.

Essential skills

* A solid background in the design of special purpose machinery ideally stainless steel conveyor systems

* Proficient in 3D design (Ideally Inventor)

* Knowledge of the hygienic food and beverage industry.
