Dudley Port School is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Tipton, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-16 with a range of complex needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). The successful applicants will need: Must hold a SENCO Qualification or be close to completing Must have a QTS status Make a valuable contribution to the offering that young people receive at the school as part of the provision of high-quality teaching and learning. Have some experience of working effectively with local authorities. Have a passion for ensuring all young people succeed. Be able to work effectively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team. Have high aspirations for themselves and others, and a commitment to further development. Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils. Why work for us?
