Job Description:

Invecta are delighted to have been retained by this high achieving London market insurance business to secure a deputy to the CTUO. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced actuary to move into the CUO office and support the ongoing growth of the organisation.

The role will span a range of duties including supporting underwriters and senior management with portfolio management, setting underwriting strategy, risk selection, capital allocation, and product development.

This is a role that has interaction at the very top of this multi-billion-pound premium business and will have access to business across property, specialty, and casualty lines.

As this position is visible to a number of areas of the business, strong stakeholder management and relationship development skills are a must. You will also have experience of working closely on deals with underwriters where you can influence risk structures as well as challenge business that has been written.

Ideally, you will be a qualified actuary (or equivalent) and likely to have experience in pricing and/or portfolio management. A London market background is required across insurance or reinsurance business, in a risk carrier, broker, or MGA.

If you have ambitions to be a CUO in the future, this is a good step to achieve this.
