About the Role Position: Carnivore Keeper Employer: British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) Location: Wingham Wildlife Park, South East. Contract: Paid full‑time, 40 hours per week. Salary: £26,436.80 per annum. Closing Date: 31 December 2025. Key Responsibilities Day‑to‑day husbandry of carnivore and related species, including diet preparation, observations, enrichment, and positive reinforcement training. Observing and noting animal behaviour and health, maintaining accurate records. Ensuring strict adherence to safe working practices. Cleaning and maintaining exhibits and designated areas. Requirements & Skills Experience working in a zoo setting with category 1 species. Strong communication skills: ability to speak one‑to‑one and deliver public talks to large audiences. Team player, also capable of working independently. Self‑motivated, proactive, with initiative and a desire to expand knowledge of the animal collection. Excellent time‑keeping and organisational skills. Practical animal husbandry skills. Valid UK driving licence or reliable access to transport. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
