Graduate Building Physics – 2026 Intake – Buildings Join Ramboll as a Graduate Building Physics professional for the 2026 intake in our Buildings division. Job Description As part of the Buildings division, you will work on more than 10,000 building projects annually, focusing on dynamic thermal simulation compliance modelling (e.g., Part L, thermal comfort, TM54), HVAC component‑level modelling, and NABERS UK assessments. You will deliver project work and become technically competent in IESVE and/or SAP, as well as other modelling software packages. Your key attributes and responsibilities will be: Assist with the production of energy strategies for planning applications (including GLA), carrying out Part L compliance assessments using IESVE or SAP. Help model operational energy use within buildings to limit the energy performance gap, including accreditation with NABERS UK. Understand and incorporate industry‑specific assessment methodologies and guidelines. Work independently with supervision, demonstrating good attention to detail and pride in the work produced. Present your work succinctly to inspire confidence in design teams and clients, strengthening internal and external relationships. Have a keen interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools, and familiarity with coding, Rhino/Grasshopper, and relevant programming languages. Qualifications For this role, your starting point should be: Being a recent (no earlier than 2025) graduate of an appropriate engineering degree. Having proven experience throughout studies in all aspects of building physics, including building energy modelling and compliance analysis using IESVE or SAP. Having a good knowledge of passive design, LZC technologies and ‘net zero’, and using this to influence all aspects of building design. Having a CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree. Selection Process We aim to respond to your application shortly after the deadline by the latest.
