Mechanical Estimator Location: LondonType: Full-time / PermanentSalary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and public health services. This role is essential in ensuring tender submissions are commercially competitive and technically robust. Key Responsibilities Interpret mechanical design information to produce accurate cost assessments. Prepare detailed take-offs and bills of quantities. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials or methodologies. Participate in tender review meetings and support bid submissions. Update cost databases and maintain estimating tools to ensure accurate future pricing. About You You are an experienced mechanical estimating professional with strong analytical skills and commercial awareness. You have a proven ability to produce accurate estimates, collaborate effectively with design and procurement teams, and support successful bid submissions. Qualifications & Experience Extensive experience in mechanical estimating for MEP or building services projects. Strong understanding of tender processes, cost management, and value engineering. Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills. Proficiency with estimating software and tools. Why Join Us?
