They support both individuals and businesses by providing clear, honest, and reliable legal advice tailored to their clients' needs.Their team comprises dedicated professionals who value integrity, collaboration, and building long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.They are seeking a Solicitor specialising in Housing Disrepair.Your Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of pre- and post-litigation housing conditions claims for tenantsEnsure compliance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair ClaimsUnderstand relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant ActDraft Letters of ClaimGather and assess special damagesReview housing records to determine liabilityAnalyze surveyor’s reports for both Claimant and DefendantNegotiate and settle claimsLiaise with counselUse Proclaim software effectively, adhering to business processes and policiesMaintain excellent client relationships, prioritising their needsBuild and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersContribute to high service levels and productivity with partner firmsPerform additional duties to support business operationsExperience Needed:Housing Disrepair experience is essential; candidates with 3-5+ years of contentious civil litigation experience will also be consideredProclaim case management system experience is requiredAbility to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple prioritiesExperience litigating own casesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organisational and diarising skillsPositive, flexible attitude with composure under pressureExceptional communication and negotiation skillsProblem-solving skills and sound judgmentBenefits:23 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increases with service)Your birthday offMilestone gifts for length of serviceMinimum 3% employer pension contributionPrivate healthcare after 1 yearEmployee assistance programmeRegular social events and activitiesStaff suggestion schemeOpportunities for continuous learning and developmentRemuneration & Work Location:The salary ranges from £40,000 to £70,000 depending on experience. The firm plans to hire two solicitors at different levels.
