About the Company

Our client is a well-established, leading UK main contractor with an impressive track record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across the nation. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they are at the forefront of urban regeneration and infrastructure development.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a high-value Brownfield urban regeneration project. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the transformation of urban landscapes and contribute to sustainable development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the successful delivery of large, technically complex schemes from inception to handover
  • Ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality delivery of the infrastructure elements of the scheme
  • Report directly to the UK Operations Director, providing strategic leadership and direction
  • Develop and implement cost-effective plans to enable efficient project completion
  • Manage risks proactively to avoid delays and reputational damage
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to report on project progress and build strong working relationships
  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including architects, urban planners, and environmental specialists
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and legal requirements
  • Monitor build progress, oversee finances, and maintain the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a degree in Engineering, ideally Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) qualified
  • Demonstrates a proven track record in the profitable and on-time delivery of infrastructure projects and urban regeneration schemes
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all levels and develop a robust onsite delivery team
  • Has extensive experience in managing complex brownfield regeneration projects, including environmental assessments and remediation strategies
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities and the ability to make strategic decisions
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of sustainable development practices and innovative urban planning concepts
  • Has a proven ability to manage large budgets and optimize resource allocation
