We are excited to offer a Machine Technician role to become a vital part of our onsite Engineering & Facilities Team at our Produce site in Sittingbourne. If you are passionate about Engineering & Facilities and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is for you.Position Details:Schedule: 4 on 4 off – 7am – 7pmLocation: IPL Sittingbourne – Site Based RoleContract Type: PermanentKey Responsibilities:Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures in a clean, safe environmentMonitor work areas to ensure safety and maintain machinery cleanlinessComplete daily machine safety checks as per SOPsLead autonomous maintenance of equipment, ensuring on and off-line activities are completedCommunicate machine safety issues to the Engineering Team, Line Leaders, and direct reportsMonitor yield to optimise value for IPLPerform product changeovers safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and identifying improvementsLiaise clearly with Line Leaders to ensure timely machine setups and prompt changeoversReport machine run rate issues affecting safety or productivity to the Line Leader and Engineer immediatelyConduct mandatory safety and food safety checksPerform check weights and scale calibration as trained, recording each weight accuratelyReport underweights and causations to the Line Leader and resolve issues, informing the Engineering team if problems persistWhat We Are Looking For:FMCG experience in a production/operational environmentExcellent practical skills with strong mechanical aptitudeEducated to GCSE level A, B, or C (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishStrong analytical and IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent communication skills, able to liaise comfortably with all levels within the companyAbility to work quickly and methodically within a team environmentInitiative-driven and results-orientedFlexible to meet and deliver business needsHigh attention to detailRelevant Health & Safety qualification (IOSH) is desirableExperience with similar machinery/equipmentAbility to challenge non-compliance to industry-leading standardsWhat’s in it for you?At IPL, Forza, and Kober, we’re dynamic businesses focused on developing our colleagues and creating an exceptional work environment.
