Senior EPR Support Analyst

Job Summary The post holder is an expert technical member of the Application Support Team and is responsible for the technical support of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) (Acute and Community systems). Responsibilities Provide first and second line support for the Trust's EPR systems and other key applications. Manage all TrackIT logs, allocate them to the Application Team support staff and ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs. Perform system administration activities, including producing regular KPI reports on application team performance. Follow Change Control procedures, negotiate with Oracle, RiO and third‑party teams on configuration requests, and coordinate the implementation of changes. Assist planning and implementation of EPR system upgrades and provide technical advice to users. Deputise for the Lead EPR Support Analysts as required. Provide guidance and specific technical training. Lead on the resolution of issues impacting EPR operational workflow and patient pathway processes, maintaining good communication with relevant personnel. Undertake root cause analysis of complex issues and devise system configuration, workflow or process changes. Liaise with EPR suppliers, line manager and stakeholders to resolve recurring problems and implement long‑term solutions. Coordinate testing of new software releases and updates, highlighting issues for escalation to suppliers. Maintain and update key master tables associated with EPR operations, including doctor, employee and scheduling tables. Administrative support for recruitment of new permanent and locum doctors. Ensure business continuity plans are in place and monitor suppliers. Develop and maintain SOPs and policies that support EPR. Plan and implement delivery of EPR configuration work packages assigned by the EPR System Manager. Supervise agency and bank staff as required. Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, health and safety, and promote equal opportunities. Document and report performance and update reports. Follow SFIs financial compliance. Maintain partnerships with IT managers, clinicians, suppliers, and broader NHS stakeholders.
