When you join Appian, you’ll be part of a passionate team dedicated to accomplishing hard things, together.ResponsibilitiesManage deal constructs, special pricing, operations, approval policies, and troubleshoot deal issues and sales escalations.Support Sales team in negotiating contract structure and pricing in compliance with Appian's internal policies while maximizing value to the customer and Appian.Facilitate alignment and communication between Appian’s Sales Teams and internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Engineering, Product teams, and external customers/partners to promptly resolve business issues and foster productive interactions.Cultivate best practices through analyses, projects and reporting contributing to the continued growth of Appian’s Sales team and Deal Desk.Contribute to and participate in regular training sessions with Sales teams.Qualifications5-8 years of related experience.Experience in a related role (Deal Desk, Pricing, Finance, FP&A, Sales Operations preferred).Ability to work on issues where analysis of situation or data requires an understanding of current business trends or organizational objectives.Autonomous day‑to‑day task execution.Experience using CRM and CPQ systems; knowledge of contracts and accounting a plus; experience with software contracts and revenue recognition policies a double plus.Negotiation experience and competence; ability to understand interests behind positions and overcome objections to workable solutions.Independent action orientation; drive to complete tasks through impact.Ownership mentality; act with integrity for the organization’s best interests.Comfortable with ambiguity and a rapidly evolving environment.Detail oriented; organized and able to manage fast‑moving information and tasks.Process focused by nature; documentation for easy reference.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Tools and ResourcesTraining and Development: Onboarding focuses on equipping new hires with the skills and knowledge for success through department‑specific training.
