This role is a bank position working on an “as and when required” basis. You will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence. Working hours are Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am–6:00 pm or 8:00 am–8:00 pm, with weekly pay provided. Location: The Harbour Hospital, Poole. Shift type: Bank. Salary: Up to £12.50 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification). Duties Of This Role Include Assist in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department, supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway. Prepare theatres for procedures, including equipment checks, stock preparation, and ensuring the environment is clean and ready. Support with the safe movement and positioning of patients pre- and post-operatively under direction of registered practitioners. Engage with patients in a respectful, dignified, and empathetic manner, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort. Communicate appropriately with members of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to smooth handovers and coordinated care. Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare support role. Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient‑centred approach. Willingness to undertake training and competency development in theatre‑specific care. Understanding of infection control, safeguarding, and basic health and safety principles.
