Laing O'Rourke are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Analyst with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Role overview This role will support digital transformation within the Finance function, contributing to process improvements, automation, and enhanced reporting. It involves reviewing processes across teams to identify automation opportunities and collaborating to drive efficiency improvements. Additionally, the role involves maintenance of the Digital Briefcase, a Power BI platform that centralises critical reports across the business for executive reporting. This includes overseeing the monthly roll forward processes, managing change requests, and supporting the Finance Reporting team delivering accurate, automated executive reports. This is an excellentopportunity for a Finance professional with Power BI experience to develop their skills in automation, reporting, and process improvements within Finance, while also gaining exposure to executive engagement across the business. What will therole look like? Maintain the Digital Briefcase, overseeing the monthly roll forward process and ensuring all reports are accurate, up to date, and accessible to stakeholders across the business. Support the Finance Reporting team by maintaining data models for executive reporting, ensuring key financial information is accurate and automated where possible. Assist in transformation projects, supporting process improvements, reporting enhancements, and digital finance initiatives, including efforts to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. Collaborate with teams across the business to gather reporting needs, support users with financial tools, and encourage engagement with digital solutions. Identify and support process improvement initiatives, assisting in the implementation of automation and efficiency solutions within Finance. Key Experience and Skills Essential Working towards a recognised finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience in a finance-related role. Experience in financial reporting, management accounts, or data analysis, with a strong understanding of financial processes. Experience in Power BI dashboard development, with a willingness to expand expertise in data visualisation and reporting automation. Ability to analyse finance processes, identify inefficiencies, and support the implementation of improvements. Ability to engage with senior leadership across Finance and other business functions. Desirable Exposure to Power Platform tools or other digital solutions is an advantage. Familiarity with AI capabilities, such as Microsoft Copilot, to enhance automation and efficiency. Experience with data tools like SQL and Python to support advanced data analysis and integration. Previous experience in the engineering / construction industry is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
