Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations. ResponsibilitiesCarrying out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied propertiesUndertaking 1st and 2nd fix carpentryHanging doors, skirting, architraves, fixing windows/doors, lock changes, repairing worktops, kitchen units, etc.Providing high levels of customer care at all times Role CriteriaExperience or NVQ in CarpentrySocial housing experienceA UK full valid driving licence Additional requirementsAll roles require entitlement to work in the UK; Mears does not offer visa sponsorship.To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for more than 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.Candidates must be willing to undergo relevant DBS / Security checks before commencement of employment.
