Salary: £23.58 per hour - £46.39 per hour (Based on an FTE salary of £26,389 - £51,934 per annum) An opportunity exists within the ESOL department for the appointment of a part‑time, hourly paid lecturer to cover a period of sabbatical leave. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Head for ESOL and be expected to deliver ESOL classes at all levels at College sites and venues within the community. In addition to teaching duties there will be organisational, administrative and pastoral work associated with this role. Qualifications Applicants should have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and a teaching qualification. A specific ESOL qualification is required, and significant relevant teaching experience is preferred; newly qualified teachers will also be considered. Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role. Responsibilities Undertake all pedagogic work such as lesson preparation, classroom teaching, tutorial work, marking and administration. Conduct student assessments to place students, monitor progress and identify learning support needs. Provide appropriate student support to meet both academic and welfare needs of learners, ensuring all relevant information is recorded on the College system. Undertake organisational and administrative work, including attending team meetings, participating in professional development activities and staff appraisals, and maintaining accurate teaching‑related records such as assessment and attendance details.
