Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with our key client in Glasgow to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.
The role reports directly to the Finance Director and Board of Directors, and will be pivotal within the business as you lead and manage the current finance team, producing all the monthly and statutory reports across multiple entities and getting involved in ongoing strategic projects.
Duties include:
- Fully responsible for reporting of the month management pack and developing the current commentary reports.
- Produce the statutory reporting pack, liaise with auditors, and fulfill all compliance requirements.
- Develop accountability with budgeting and projected forecasts, monitoring all costs and demonstrating visibility across the business.
- Manage the current finance team, support ongoing development, and promote a cohesive team environment.
- Provide accurate reporting around intercompany balances across the Group.
- Develop controls and monthly reporting processes across different sites/brands to assist consistency.
- Provide direction across the business with sales and operational managers to control internal expenditure and costs.
- Manage the invoice discounting facility and establish tighter cash management processes, developing the forecasting position.
- Responsible for all HMRC, VAT, and Tax submissions across the Group.
The successful candidate will be joining a great business that has excelled in organic growth over the last few years. Having recently restructured internally, they now need to develop a strong strategic focus to push the business to the next level. You will be influential in your approach, streamline the current reporting pack, and add value to the wider business. Ideally, you will be ACCA/CIMA Qualified, although this is not essential; you must be able to demonstrate reporting within a product-based business and the associated reporting required.
