Lead Nurse Specialist - District NursingThe post holder will professionally support the continuous development and evolution of all district nursing roles across community nursing in South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership. They will provide professional assurance and governance in relation to the trainee District Nurse as an expert clinical practitioner, provide professional support and guidance to trainee District Nurses to facilitate evidence of competence and skills, and provide preceptorship to all District Nurses during their first year of practice on completion of the District Nurse pathway.The post holder will ensure that District Nurses, trainee District Nurses and all levels of practice across the District Nursing team are supported in delivering high quality person-centred care. District Nurses are responsible and accountable for delivering an accessible, appropriate, high quality and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community by working in partnership with patients, care providers and agencies. They will also support quality of care reviews and developments in practice through designated areas of work.Employer: NHS LanarkshireLocation and working pattern: This role will be based in Nursing within Almada St. The working pattern will be confirmed by the hiring manager.Contract type: Permanent.
