Laser Operator Join to apply for the Laser Operator role at TipTopJob in Cheshire. We are recruiting 2 permanent contract Laser Operators. Salary and Working HoursAnnual salary will vary based on experience, ranging from GBP 27,347 to GBP 35,568 per annum. Working hours: rotating 6:2/2:10 shift pattern (38 hours per week). Overtime paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, T1/2 after 48 hours. A GBP 2,000 new starter incentive bonus is offered. Preferred ExperienceThe hiring manager prefers experience with a Trumpf Laser, but will consider candidates who have worked on an Amada Laser. An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline is preferred. What You Will Do Operate Trumpf CNC laser machines with precision and efficiency. Interpret technical drawings and CAD layouts to ensure accurate cutting processes. Perform basic mechanical maintenance on machines to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with the team to meet production targets and deadlines. Maintain a strong focus on quality and detail in every task. Utilise Trumpf software, such as TruTops and Boost, to optimise workflows. What You Will Bring Proven experience in operating CNC laser machines. Strong understanding of laser cutting processes and steel materials. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with confidence. Practical, hands‑on skills and attention to detail. Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering or Manufacturing (preferred).
