You’ll play a key role in bringing industrial automation projects to life by installing, testing, and commissioning equipment for customers across the UK and Ireland. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with an electrical, mechanical, or maintenance background who enjoys solving problems on site and is keen to grow their skills in automation and control systems. Key responsibilities Commission, test, and troubleshoot control systems on site. Perform loop checks, I/O testing, and functional verification of automation systems. Make minor changes to hardware and software to resolve problems. Collaborate with project engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. Must hold an EU/EEA passport to allow working within Europe, if required. Desirable Some experience with automation, instrumentation, or industrial systems. Familiarity with any PLC brands would be an advantage, but not essential. What we offer Competitive salary and overtime rates. Training and support to develop automation skills. Opportunities for career progression. A friendly and supportive engineering team. 33 floating holidays. Company performance‑related bonus. Well‑being benefit. Pension scheme. What I like most about PDS is the people; they are friendly and amiable, and I believe the company does its best to support its employees. I enjoy the varied work and never feel pigeonholed, and I like the fact I get to do work I enjoy and feel capable doing. If I could describe PDS’s culture in a few words, I’d say it’s friendly, welcoming, and supportive. So why not join us?
