Quality Engineer APQP role at Agratas Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high‑quality, high‑performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. Our headquarters is in the Midlands and we are building a battery manufacturing facility in Somerset, with R&D in Abingdon and Coventry. Purpose of the Role We are recruiting an experienced Project Quality Engineer to develop and execute APQP activities for specific products at Agratas. You will interface heavily with product engineering, process engineering, project management and the customer, coordinating, evaluating and reporting APQP deliverables. This hybrid working role will be based in our Coventry office. Key Responsibility Areas Represent Quality & the “voice of the customer” in product and process development. Ensure the Agratas APQP framework is integrated into the master project plan. Execute the APQP framework in assigned projects and report quality status. Facilitate cross‑functional teams during delivery of FMEA, Control Plan, etc. Use lessons learnt to continuously improve quality deliverables. Check correctness and completeness of APQP artefacts. Report on product development status, key risks and opportunities. Qualifications And Experience Proven experience in APQP execution and development, ideally at a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Experience developing new processes or optimising existing ones. Experience in customer engagement teams. Degree in Engineering or Quality related subject. Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a Tier 1 supplier environment. Preferred: Certified 6 Sigma Green Belt. Preferred: Core Tools Certified (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP / Control Plan). Preferred: Experience with SharePoint, PowerApps and Power BI. Nice to have: Experience in a start‑up environment.
