Laboratory Technician – Norwich Position: Laboratory Technician (Full‑time, Permanent) Location: County Hall, Norwich, Norfolk Salary: £27,568.46 – £29,402.71 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week Description: NPL is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our well‑equipped team. You will perform site and laboratory testing of construction materials, structural investigations and pavement investigations, ensuring compliance with our Quality System and meeting time and financial targets. Responsibilities Carry out site and laboratory testing according to standards and Quality System requirements. Provide accurate test data for construction materials, structural investigation and pavement investigations. Collaborate with laboratory technicians and senior staff to meet time and financial targets. Maintain accurate data and records. Manage workload, multi‑tasking and prioritising tasks effectively. Follow defined guidance to ensure compliance with standards. Qualifications Hold a CSCS card and Street Works Certificate (preferred). Hold GCSE at Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science or equivalent. Experience managing your own workload, multi‑tasking and prioritising effectively. Full UK driving licence.
