HMP Leeds is a category B remand's prisons that houses around 1100 patients. The Leeds team adopts an inclusive, compassionate and punctilious attitude towards each other and their patients. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team at HMP Leeds to deliver excellent clinical care. Hours Sessions run Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm We are able to offer both part time and full time roles Salary You’ll receive an annual salary up to £196,736per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you? You will be part of a team of 20 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists You will be able to attend monthly Consultant's meeting and 1:1 clinical supervision. Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks What you’ll be doing As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi professional complex case reviews. Qualifications required Registered professional with current registration (GMC) Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983 Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
