Working Hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 3pmSalary £20,600JOB SUMMARYThe Credit Controller is responsible for chasing outstanding invoices and allocating payments, playing a vital role within the Finance department. This role requires a proactive individual seeking to improve and maintain/achieve optimum debtor days, ensure efficiency and effectiveness of cash allocation, and continuously improve collection procedures.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESAllocating payments in accordance with customer remittances and information supplied by the Settlement Team across all company entitiesChasing debt while building strong business relationships with clientsGenerating and sending Dunning letters and fortnightly statements to clientsLiaising with team members and the Client Services team to resolve queries about outstanding invoicesRunning weekly Aged Debt Reports and providing updates to management about high-risk accountsInitiating legal processes, ensuring Proof of Debts are submitted, and working with the Legal team to collect outstanding debtsMaintaining and looking to improve current Credit Control policies and proceduresAssisting the Sales Ledger Team with absence and holiday cover as requiredHandling ad hoc Credit Control queries as neededEssential AttributesExperience working within a Credit Control departmentExcellent numeracy and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in IT packages such as Word, Excel, and OutlookConfident telephone mannerWell-organized with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work well in a team and act on own initiative when appropriateCapable of working to strict guidelines and targets, and coping under pressureDesirable AttributesKnowledge of Microsoft Business Central or other accounting systemsGeneral accounts processing knowledge would be advantageous #J-18808-Ljbffr
