The Role The Pre-Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping projects before they reach site. You'll lead the planning, design coordination, and commercial strategy to ensure projects are set up for success. Key Responsibilities Manage the pre-construction phase of office fit-out and refurbishment projects (CAT A & CAT B). Lead design development, ensuring client requirements are captured and translated into deliverable solutions. Oversee tendering, procurement, and subcontractor engagement. Collaborate with estimators, designers, and project managers to produce accurate programmes and budgets. Provide technical input and risk management strategies at early stages. Build strong client relationships, offering guidance and confidence from concept through to contract award. Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to win new projects and secure client confidence. Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety, and sustainability goals. Requirements 5+ years' experience in pre-construction within design & build or commercial fit-out. Strong understanding of office interiors, design coordination, and procurement processes. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines. Relevant certifications (SMSTS, CSCS) advantageous.
