Job Description The Head of Standards plays a crucial role in overseeing ISO standards, ensuring internal compliance frameworks, and driving sustainability initiatives within Wavenet. This position is essential for maintaining high levels of compliance with both internal policies and external regulations, while fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Leading a dedicated team of specialists, the Head of Standards supports audits, policy development, and continuous improvement across key areas such as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Health and Safety, and Risk Management. This role also promotes ISO standards and cultivates a culture of wellbeing and safety throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Team Management Lead a team of specialists responsible for the following areas: ISO Certifications and Audits Manage ISO standards across multiple office locations, including ISO 9001, 14001, 20000‑1, 27001, 45001, and 50001, ensuring alignment with internal policies and ISO management systems. Oversee both internal and external audits, coordinating with certification bodies and third‑party auditors while managing audit contracts in accordance with certification plans. Review, update, and draft company policies to meet organisational needs and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with operational teams and external consultants. Compliance and Risk Management Oversee ICO registrations and updates for active and acquired companies. Liaise with internal teams and external regulators to ensure timely compliance. Prepare and submit compliance reports as required. Manage the company risk register effectively. ESG and Sustainability Lead ESG initiatives, including EcoVadis assessments, Carbon Reduction Plans, and ESOS compliance. Collaborate cross‑functionally to support initiatives that enhance sustainability performance and improve ESG scores. Prepare and publish ESG audit reports, ensuring that independent reviews are completed. Work with internal teams and external partners to meet regulatory deadlines and customer requirements. Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Maintain Health and Safety certifications and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Support Health and Safety initiatives and manage procurement processes. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies related to health and safety. Champion initiatives such as Mental Health First Aid and promote a culture of wellbeing. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in managing ISO standards across diverse locations. Familiarity with Health and Safety compliance and risk management practices. Understanding of ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting. Strong organisational skills with a focus on effective stakeholder engagement. Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities that resonate with varied audiences. Proven track record of successfully driving continuous improvement initiatives and cultivating a culture of quality.
