ViiV Healthcare (GSK) Global Medical Affairs Senior Director (Prevention) Brockston, Durham, NC, USA; London, UK (Remote options may be considered). Posted: Dec 4 2025. ViiV Healthcare is a global specialty HIV company dedicated to researching and delivering HIV medicines. The Global Medical Affairs Senior Director will establish scientific strategy and lead integrated medical affairs plans for PrEP to reduce HIV incidence worldwide. Responsibilities Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and provide scientific expertise to cross-functional teams. Lead the development, implementation, and execution of the global medical strategy and integrated evidence plan for PrEP, spanning pre-launch to post-launch. Oversee and support Investigator Sponsored Study (ISS) management and advisory board execution for PrEP. Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and code of practice requirements (e.g., ABPI/PMCPA). Partner with Scientific Communications Lead to develop and deliver a global medical communication plan. Provide direct expertise to external experts (KOLs, HCPs, payers, patients) and internal stakeholders. Support development of innovative content, tools, and resources to raise PrEP awareness and adoption. Lead and coordinate the Integrated Evidence Team. Lead direct reports and manage delivery of global medical affairs activities for PrEP. Qualifications Basic Qualifications BS degree in a medical or clinical area (Infectious Diseases/HIV). HIV specialist clinical practice and pharmaceutical industry experience. ABPI or equivalent code of practice reviewer/signatory. Experience working with commercial operations and cross-functionally. Experience influencing peers and managing indirect reports across a matrix organisation. External scientific presentation experience. Experience with pharmaceutical drug development. Experience managing multiple priorities and projects. Willingness to travel for internal and external business meetings. Preferred Qualifications MSc, PhD, MD, or PharmD in Infectious Diseases/HIV. Strong team working and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities. Results orientation with entrepreneurial approach. Innovation in management methods and technology. Strong customer orientation/focus. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
