OverviewElectrical Technician for the Maintenance team in the Wastewater Division, based at Abbey Mills – Stratford – E15 2RN. You will use electrical knowledge and on-site experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient and timely manner with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for customers.This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact by helping to reduce pollution from our sites.What you’ll be doing as the Electrical TechnicianEnsuring the health, safety, and well-being of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and visitors by complying with the Health and Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water’s Health and Safety guidelines.Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms and fault finding, fixing issues or escalating as required; daily planned maintenance of plant and equipment; installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.Recording work and asset information to improve business performance, identifying potential future risks, and raising for resolution as required.Providing specialist technical advice with up-to-date technical knowledge; coaching, training and developing staff under supervision, including the apprenticeship programme.Delivering excellent customer experience and contributing to overall customer satisfaction by interacting with internal and external customers in a timely, professional, efficient, respectful and polite manner.Base Location: Abbey Mills – Stratford – E15 2RNWorking Pattern: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:36 pm, plus standby rota payments; overtime opportunities may increase earnings upon completion of essential company training.Other requirements: All PPE, tools, and a van provided when on duty and on call.
