OverviewWe’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at our 24-hour hospital in Watford. This can be a full-time or part-time role depending on what works best for you.Our hospital is well-equipped and purpose-built to support a wide range of cases. Facilities include:Four consult roomsSeparate dog and cat wardsTwo theatres (one for orthopaedics, one for soft tissue surgery)Digital x-ray, ultrasound and CTFull dental suite with dental x-rayEndoscopy equipment including rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, gastroscopy and laparoscopyIn-house lab with a broad diagnostic range (including coagulation profiles and iSTAT)Dedicated isolation wardComfortable break areas for staffMany of the team hold certificates or are working towards further qualifications in areas such as internal medicine, diagnostic imaging (including CT and cardiology), orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery and ECC.This is a full-time position (40 hours over four days) with a 1 in 6 weekend rota. We’re happy to consider part-time or flexible arrangements for the right person. The position is for an initial 12 month fixed term with scope for a permanent role thereafter.You’ll be a capable and compassionate vet who works well in a team and is comfortable managing a varied caseload.
