HGV CLASS 1 NIGHT DRIVER People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire .Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.Shifts: Sunday – Thursday: Start times 21:00 Rates of Pay: £19.00 – £20.00 per hour Benefits: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate starts • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: • Complete 2–3 store deliveries per shift (curtain-side work – unloading via FLT) • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management • Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential Skills: • Valid UK Category CE Licence • Minimum of 12 month's experience driving CE vehicles • FLT Counterbalance experience within the last 5 years (required for store unloading) • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous multi-drop experience Training Provided: • Driver's assessment must be completed before starting Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a Class 1 Night Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more. xsabvtc People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
