Overview Established in 2020, the National Cyber Force (NCF) is responsible for operating in cyberspace to counter threats, support UK national security, and contribute to the United Kingdom’s foreign policy agenda. The Business Support role provides high‑quality administrative and organisational support across key business functions such as Disclosure, Resettlement, Accommodation, Data Management, and Supplies Management. Responsibilities Maintain and update records, policies, and processes in line with guidance and security requirements. Respond to customer and stakeholder queries via phone, email or in person. Coordinate and book meetings, appointments, and events, including preparing and circulating relevant documentation. Order, track and manage office supplies or equipment to meet operational needs. Liaise with colleagues, partner agencies and suppliers to share information and resolve queries. Compile, format and review routine reports and data returns. Ensure all work complies with relevant policies, procedures and data security requirements. Security Clearance and Checks Clearance level required: Developed Vetting (DV) plus baseline personnel security standard. Applicants must pass the following checks: Successful completion of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Completion of a DV Security Questionnaire. Records check including personal files, staff reports, sick leave returns and security records. Check of spent and unspent criminal records. Credit and financial history check with a credit reference agency. Check of Security Service records. Full review of personal finances (assets, liabilities, income and expenditure). Detailed interview conducted by a trained Investigating Officer. Further enquiries, including interviews with referees. Applicants must also meet the business validation standard and pass a drug test before appointment. A sift stage will assess CV, statement and the managing a quality service behaviour. 3. Successful candidates will be invited to a remote interview (Teams), conducted week commencing 26 January 2026. Interviews will assess all five behaviours. Applications must not discuss them publicly. Applicants who require sponsorship under the points‑based immigration system will not be considered, as this role is not business critical. Anyone applying must declare any outside interests that may conflict with a MOD civilian role. Candidate Requirements UK national or eligible to work in the UK. Self‑motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Solid foundation of Business Management knowledge. Ability to brief personnel on all aspects of business management and keep paperwork up to date. Strong relationship‑building skills with colleagues and wider teams. Capacity to understand and adapt local nuances of NCF support functions. Salary and Benefits Salary: £27,650 MOD contributes £8,010 towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
