**Locations: Derby, Warrington or Manchester, with hybrid working options available****Salary: We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 to £62,500 DOE**The role is suited to a degree qualified mechanical engineer (or equivalent) with experience who will support the design and delivery of the Rolls-Royce SMR modular kit of parts as part of the Frames team within modularisation. This includes development and delivery of modular frames and associated variants to provide the main structure for equipment to be installed within on site. You will work within a core team responsible for the delivery of a standardised modular system, performing optioneering studies to determine optimal design, manufacturing, and construction solutions in keeping with the SMR modular build philosophy. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to guide and mentor junior engineers to help them develop their full potential. * Design and concept development of design solutions for the Rolls-Royce SMR modular kit of parts including modular frames and variants.* Design of work packages to applicable standards and hazard requirements.* Rolls-Royce SMR Design Process revolves around a Definition Review (DR) governance process that assesses the functional design development of systems, structures, or components via staged DR gates.
