We supply dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. The team is based at RAF Brize Norton in a dedicated 24,000m² facility designed to optimise aircraft maintenance. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation Group.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipmentAccurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentationCarry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if requiredComply with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the Atlantic Aviation Group Defence Services (AAG DS) MOE and supporting manualsIdentify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditionsMaintain the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approachComply with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting proceduresComply with the AAG DS safety policyComplete aircraft paperwork to a high standardBe aware of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirementsActively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) cultureCandidate RequirementsMust currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK; sponsorship cannot be offeredMust hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years experience or be able to satisfy AAG DS Training / Maintenance management teamCurrent Human factors initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificatesKnowledge of aeronautical regulationsRight to live and work in the United KingdomFluency in English, both written and verbalAbility to successfully complete MOD security clearanceDesirable CriteriaExperience on A400M, Airbus, Propeller or Wide body AircraftPrevious exposure to AirN@v and AmosKnowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulationsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work as part of a teamCapability to work on own initiative and demonstrate leadership skillsProficient organisational skills and ability to work efficientlyIPAF/MEWP familiarisationTypical Working ConditionsPrimarily based in Brize Norton; travel may be requiredShift will be 5, 5, 4-day cycle from 07:00 to 19:00PPE provided by AAG DS and its use is mandatoryCore ValuesIf you feel your skills and experience meet the requirements of this position, we look forward to hearing from youAtlantic Aviation Group reserves the right to close the role prior to the listed date if a suitable applicant is found.As a growing and ambitious organisation, we are interested in speaking to individuals about their next career move.
