Stock Controller Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an organised and proactive Stock Controller to join our Supplies Department. In this vital role, you’ll help manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring essential supplies are available when needed. Key Responsibilities Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the department, following established procedures. Receive, check, record and store incoming goods. Issue stock items and PPE to staff, ensuring accurate documentation. Prepare and deliver goods to various sites as required. Maintain stock areas and ensure items are stored safely and appropriately. Update electronic stock control and PPE systems. Process purchase orders, invoices and supplier enquiries. Support with any other duties aligned to the role. Essential Criteria A general education and experience in stock control or warehousing. Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Experience using electronic stock control systems. A clean, current full UK driving licence. Basic knowledge of PPE fitting. Desirable Knowledge of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service procurement and stock control procedures. Advanced understanding of stock control systems. Hours and Working Pattern Core hours: 8:00 – 16:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Salary and Contract Grade 3 (£25,948). Permanent/Part‑time. 30 hours per week.
