Equans is looking for a Multi Site Caretaker to join our team in Tuxford Academy, Markham Rd, Newark-on-Trent, NG22 0JH on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.72 per hour and benefits package. Shift Times Week 1: Monday to Friday, 05.30am - 14.00pm. Week 2: Monday to Friday, 11.30am - 20.00pm. Alternating weeks. All bank holidays off. What will you deliver? An opportunity has arisen within the Bassetlaw Schools PFI contract for a Multi site Caretaker to provide service operations based at Tuxford Academy School. The role expects you to be a key holder and to deliver the full range of caretaking, maintenance, sub‑contractor management, compliance records, and ad‑hoc cleaning duties, with responsibility of securing the site. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills. Previous caretaking experience. Demonstrate experience of practical maintenance skills, such as joinery, decorating. Physically fit, to enable duties such as manual handling; working at height; mobility around large sites over various terrains. Live within a 30 minute travel time to site. Flexible approach: to provide occasional overtime, weekend cover for lettings and additional school use. Consistently wear the uniform, personal protective clothing provided. Be well presented at all times. Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance is a prerequisite of the position. Equans will take up an enhanced DBS once an offer is made. You will need to use your own vehicle to travel between sites, as required, which must have Business commuting insurance cover, and a valid driving licence in order to claim travel expenses.
