The company is known for its commitment to sustainability, operational excellence and long-term partnerships — and offers an opportunity to be part of a values-led organisation that is genuinely making a difference.About The RoleThis is a hands-on and varied role, reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with a small transactional finance team of three. You will take full ownership of the monthly management accounts and play a key role in ensuring the integrity and insightfulness of financial information.This role offers great scope for growth and development and would suit someone looking to broaden their commercial exposure within a supportive, ambitious organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts including stock, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, prepayments and journalsMonthly bank reconciliations across multi-bank, multi-company and multi-currency environmentsOwnership of balance sheet reconciliations and control accountsVAT returns, including EU and non-EU transactions, and compliance with the Plastic Packaging TaxSupport with import documentation, landed costs and freight invoice reconciliationRebate tracking and claiming (customer, supplier, price support)Weekly cash flow forecasting and updatesCover support for both purchase ledger and sales ledger functionsRequirementsAbout YouPart-qualified or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent)Solid experience in a hands-on accounting roleStrong Excel skills with the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of dataExperience using SAP Business One is advantageous but not essentialMeticulous attention to detail and high standards of accuracyA proactive mindset, with confidence to suggest and implement process improvementsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsThis is an ideal first or second move into industry for someone currently in practice or a similar commercial environment.BenefitsYou'll benefit from:Competitive salary, depending on experienceFree lunch on a FridayAdditional perks such as birthday leave and holiday purchase schemeFlexible and hybrid working opportunitiesStudy support for CIMA/ACCA if requiredOngoing professional development within a growing businessWhy Apply?This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, sustainably-focused organisation with a strong reputation in its sector.
