The core mission is to use cricket to stimulate physical, motor, cognitive, and life skills (social, thinking, emotional) in young participants, building a passion for the sport within a safe, positive, and engaging community environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme Leadership & DeliveryCurriculum Design: Develop and deliver creative, fun‑based session plans suitable for age groups ranging from 2.5 years to 11 years, with appropriate differentiation.Safety & Engagement: Ensure all sessions are delivered in a safe, fun, and highly engaging manner, adhering strictly to safeguarding and health & safety protocols.Equipment Management: Maintain, audit, and ensure the correct age‑appropriate equipment is used across all groups.Parental Involvement: Actively facilitate and encourage parental involvement during sessions for the youngest age group (2.5 – 5 years).Team & Operational ManagementStaff Oversight: Lead, manage, and mentor the assistant coaches and any volunteers, providing clear direction and ensuring consistent delivery quality.Evaluation & Tracking: Implement a system to evaluate and track player growth across multiple domains and provide structured feedback.Administrative Support: Oversee basic administrative tasks including registration, attendance tracking, and liaison with the director.Behaviour Management: Implement effective, positive behaviour management strategies to create a respectful learning environment.Club Growth & Community EngagementStakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, participants, the school venue, and the wider community.Advertising & Promotion: Work with the director to effectively advertise the club within partner schools and the local community.Organise Events: Plan and organise internal events, tournaments, and parent/child fun days to foster a strong, inclusive club culture.Strategic Growth: Contribute to the overall vision and expansion plan for the cricket club across multiple future locations.Essential RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience coaching young people (ages 2‑11).Demonstrable passion for using sport as a tool for holistic life skill development.Valid Enhanced DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service).Current First Aid Qualification.Driver: Must be able to carry equipment to venues.Ability to manage and oversee the performance and growth of an assistant coaching team.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeContract #J-18808-Ljbffr
