Role: Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Acute Care and Oncology)Location: The Christie Private Care Centre, ManchesterHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday – Part-time hours will also be consideredContract Type: PermanentSalary: Competitive (dependent on skills & experience) which includes late shift, on-call and weekend services allowance)OverviewWe’re looking for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Acute Care and Oncology) to join our Pharmacy team at The Christie Private Care Centre, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. The Christie Private Care provides advanced cancer care and houses the world’s largest early clinical trials unit, offering a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day care and outpatient treatment on one site.ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will support the delivery and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services to all Oncology services at The Christie Private Care Hospital (TCPC).Provide a high quality clinical pharmacy service which meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals within TCPC.Bring experience in Oncology Services, be motivated, proactive and contribute to the development and growth of the pharmacy department within TCPC.Support the implementation of medicine management systems concerned with Oncology and Acute Care services at TCPC.Provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to Oncology and Acute services.Act as a role model in the oncology pharmacy field and undertake clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and teaching of nursing and medical staff.Be professionally accountable for any pharmacy function for which they assume responsibility.What You’ll BringMember of the General Pharmaceutical Council, with a BPharm, MPharm or BSc in PharmacyAdditional postgraduate clinical qualification e.g. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or other relevant post-graduation qualificationAcute hospital experience essentialMember of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is desirableExperience in a clinical specialist area – e.g. Oncology and Acute Medicine is highly desirableBenefits25 days holiday each year (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, with option to buy or sell leave to suit youPrivate Healthcare Insurance for treatment at our leading hospitalsPrivate pension contribution which increases with length of serviceSeason Ticket Loan and Cycle to Work schemeGroup Life Assurance from day oneCritical illness coverEnhanced Maternity and Paternity payCorporate staff discount for all facilities including Maternity packages at The PortlandComprehensive range of flexible health, protection and lifestyle benefits to suit youDiscounts with over 800 major retailersDiversity and InclusionPatients first.
